In an effort to curb youth obesity in the Moore County area, the Killgore Memorial Library has partnered with the Moore Healthy Families Youth Coalition to offer exercise and activities for Dumas area children during the Christmas break.
The library will be offering a class on the days it is open designed to target the local issue of obesity and provide the kids with something to do to stay active over the holidays.
The class is planned to include a 30 minute stretching and yoga exercise (non-religious yoga) and some activity or craft aimed at informing participants about the benefits of a healthy lifestyle.
The class will be offered Dec. 21, 22, 29, 30 and 31 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Children of all ages are invited to attend. A parent must remain in the building during the class for any child under the age of 8.
