Several Dumas Independent School District Campuses were recognized by the Gold Performance Acknowledgement System at a meeting of the Dumas Independent School District Board held Monday, Dec 14. The Gold Performance Acknowledgement System, which recognizes school districts and campuses for high performance on fifteen indicators other than those used to determine accountability ratings, recognized Dumas ISD as a whole for commended writing, Dumas Junior High for commended reading and commended writing, Cactus Elementary for commended science, Morningside Elementary for commended math, commended writing and comparable improvement in reading, Hillcrest Elementary for commended math, commended writing, and commended science, Sunset Elementary for commended science and comparable improvement in reading, and Green Acres Elementary for commended math, commended writing and comparable improvement in reading. Dumas ISD received a total of 15 acknowledgements as a whole.
