Today ends the 64th annual Dogie Days celebration and I have missed all of it because I am floating in the boat at Lake Texhoma.
I am pretty sure that you all are having a wonderful time at the Midway. I commend every citizen, Lions Club member and the community volunteers for their hard work in making Dumas and Moore County a better place to live, work, grow and prosper. I was excited to hear that the Lions Club has made it possible to deliver BBQ to meals on wheels. That is so awesome. Good Job!
Without the Dumas Noon Lions Club hosting the Dogie Days event, many organizations would not have the sources and funds to help our needy and less fortunate. I am sorry that I have missed all of the fun, but I couldn’t pass up our annual fishing trip.
I missed out last year and I wasn’t going to miss the opportunity this year, for a big catch. My husband and I, my dad and my brother are camped at Eisenhower State Park in Denison.
I am missing the fruit drink stand the most. I have a great time working with Wanda and the other Lions Club members. I enjoy seeing all of the people and many friends that I have made. I miss the rooster eggs, burritos and the corn on a stick.
