Due to concerns regarding speeding on McPherson Street, Moore County Commissioners conducted two public hearings Monday. The hearings were regarding the placement of speed bumps and children at play signs on the street.
The Metcalf family, which resides on the street, were present and said they would like to see tickets issued. Sheriff Bo DeArmond told commissioners he would work to increase patrols in the area, too.
Following the public hearings, commissioners voted to approve speed bumps on the street as well as signs indicating "Children At Play".
