While this is a tale of two very different celebrations, there is a common theme — a celebration.
On Monday, my family and I laid to rest my grandmother. She lived a long and happy life, passing away just days before her 90th birthday.
Then came the arrival of Dogie Days on Wednesday.
As the midway fired up, countless people began the annual pilgrimage to Dumas for the celebration which raises tens of thousands of dollars for local non-profits. Dogie Days truly is a wonderful community celebration.
