Those of us in the workforce have grown accustomed to seeing certain payroll deductions each pay period. There’s the federal income tax withholding, a Medicare tax withholding and last, but not least, the Social Security withholding.
How much thought do you give to the Social Security deduction? Have you ever wondered how much money you will see when you reach retirement age?
Social Security has a tool available online that helps illustrate what your retirement could be (you must take into account there are factors that could increase or decrease that figure).
Visit www.socialsecurity .gov/estimator and, after entering some personal information on the secure website, you will see your potential retirement earnings
