Saturday wreck claims life of Dumas man

According to a report provided to the Moore County News-Press Tuesday afternoon, 56-year-old Kevin Lee Golden of Dumas died in a one-vehicle accident. The accident took place the night of Jan. 11, 2014, about 10 miles south of Dumas.
Texas Department of Public Safety Trooper Christopher Ray said the vehicle Golden was driving, a 2002 Ford F-250, was north bound on U.S. 87 when he drove off the roadway and into the ditch. Golden over corrected, causing the vehicle to go in to a right side skid. He drove into the center median, causing the vehicle to roll several times. Golden died as a result of the injuries he sustained during the crash.
He was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after midnight.
Golden was wearing his seat belt at the time of the crash.
