CHANNING — What started out as eighth grade students reading a play based on the Diary of Anne Frank turned into an unique experience. Channing students recently spent time talking face to face with a holocaust survivor and learning about her personal story.
Connie McLain’s students utilized technology available on one of the district’s iPad devices to chat back and forth with the survivor, who now makes her home in Ohio. The app they used, Apple’s Face Time, allowed the students to see the speaker and it allowed the speaker to see her audience.
