The most satisfying part of my job is watching our students go out into the world and “make it” by either continuing their education after their time at Amarillo College, or landing good jobs in the community, or both. Every one of our students has a story to tell about their plans for the future, and every student walks their own path as they carry out their individual plan.
Ashley Admire graduated from Amarillo College in the spring of 2009 with her Associates Degree in general studies. Over the course of several years at AC, she attended classes in Dumas and Amarillo while making time to start a family, and then transferred to Oklahoma Panhandle State University (OPSU), where she graduated in 2011 with a B.S. in Business Administration, minoring in Computer Information Systems.
Ashley is now employed as the Dumas Site Administrator by the Suzlon Wind Energy Corporation, a global renewable energy company with U.S. headquarters in Elgin, Illinois. Her office maintains 48 wind turbines and employs 11 people.
The story gets better…
