County clerk addresses early voting, voting by mail

Applications for voting by mail in the upcoming May 10 Moore County Hospital District Bond Election are currently being accepted, according to Moore County Clerk Brenda McKanna.
The county clerk said applications will be accepted by her office through May 1. She said reasons for voting by mail include:
• Being 65 years of age or older;
• Having a disability;
• Being confined in jail; or
• An expected absence from the county.
McKanna's office is accepting applications from all residents who live within the Moore County Hospital District, including Moore, Harley and Sherman County residents.
McKanna also noted that early voting in person will begin April 28 and will continue through May 6. Voting hours will be 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day at the 1st Street Annex, which is located at 310 E. 1st in Dumas. Anyone residing within the hospital district, regardless of county, may vote early at this location, according to McKanna.
