Demons claim first Linemen Challenge Championship
Teams from Borger, Caprock, Dalhart, Dumas, Palo Duro, and Tascosa showed up early to register for the 2nd Annual Linemen’s Challenge Saturday that started just after 9 a.m.. Dumas Demon Head Football Coach Mike Burt and his staff hosted the event at the high school practice field, weight room, and Demon Dome.

Dumas High Head Baseball Coach Stan Williams has announced that Jose “Chino” Gonzalez, Derrick Valenzuela, Arturo Gonzalez and Alonso Gomez have been selected to the 3-4A All-District team.

We are the champions
The North Plains Babe Ruth League crowned Lindahl Realty team champions of the Dumas summer league Sunday night after a 17-4 victory over Petro Source in the championship game. “We just run out of gas,” said Petro Source coach Fro Barr. “Our ace pitcher only had three inning left, and our number two pitcher blew out his arm during the last game he pitched so it put us in a pinch. Lindahl put it together and that was pretty much it.”
