The Moore County News-Press received multiple awards during the recent annual convention of the Panhandle Press Association, which was held in Hereford this year.
Your local newspaper received three first place awards, five second place awards and three third place awards.
First place awards included: Society and Lifestyles - Michael Wright, Spot News Photos - John Key, and Advertising Initiative - Shane Austin.
Earning second place awards were: Serious Columns - Michael Wright, Special Section (Demon Football Scrapbook) - Philip Flores, Shane Austin, Michael Wright, Human Interest Photos - John Key, Sports Photos - Philip Flores, and Best Website - whole staff.
Third place awards went to: News Writing - John Key, Headline Writing - Michael Wright, John Key, and Front Page Layout - Michael Wright, Shane Austin.
Publisher Michael Wright says he is “very proud of the efforts of the entire staff. The hard work we put in during 2021 was well-recognized by our peers. We’re working just as hard to put out the best possible news and sports in 2022 for our readers.”
