Two units of the Dumas Fire Department responded to a blaze in a semi truck Wednesday in the 1600 block of Dumas Avenue, directly in front of a Valero gas station and Toot 'n Totum convenience store.  According to Captain Galen Davis of the Dumas Fire Department, the call came in of a truck on fire at 5:05 pm.   The truck was traveling north on Dumas Avenue.   The fire seemed to be centered in the area between the cab and trailer, though the inside of the cab appeared to be involved as well.  Both the cab and trailer suffered damage; the extent is not yet known.  Davis said the fire took about an hour to extinguish.  There were no injuries in the incident.  According to markings on the side of the cab, the truck was from E & G  Transport LLC of Commerce City, Colorado.  The company website states the company does not transport hazardous cargo.  Information on the cause of the fire is not yet available.  Captain Davis says the fire is still under investigation.
