A Moore County jury sentenced Drew Don Hugg to 10 years in prison for Possession of a Controlled Substance, that substance being methamphetamine.
After evidence was presented, the jury deliberated for less than thirty minutes before finding Hugg guilty. During the punishment phase, the State introduced evidence of Hugg’s previous convictions. The punishment range for this offense was increased based on his prior convictions. Hugg’s 10-year prison sentence reflects the maximum punishment for this offense.
The 69th Judicial District Attorney’s Office prosecuted the case. This office serves Moore, Hartley, Dallam, and Sherman counties.
