Marcus Lee Torres, a convicted sex offender wanted on a parole violation warrent, was last seen in Amarillo.

Texas law enforcement agencies are currently searching for Marcus Lee Torres, a convicted sex offender, who was recently released on parole from the Baten Unit of the Texas Department of Corrections in Gray County near Pampa, according to a notice from the El Paso County Sheriff's Office.  Torres was last known to be in the 4700 block of Sanborn Street in Amarillo.

As a requirement for his release on parole, Torres was supposed to travel to El Paso and report to the Texas Department of Corrections and a halfway house.  He never arrived, and, according to the notice, he has removed his ankle monitor.  Law enforcement have issued a parole violation warrant for him. 

Torres was convicted of two counts of aggravated sexual assault of a nine-year-old and a seven-year-old child.
