Two passengers died, including a Dumas resident, and the driver was seriously injured following a traffic accident that took place Monday evening in Hartley County.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS), 34-year-old Lliana Sauceda, 34, of Dumas, and Lucio Quezada-Hernandez, 28, of Dalhart, were pronounced dead at the scene by Hartley County Justice of the Peace Beth Moore. Both were passengers in a 2008 Chevrolet Colorado driven by 31-year-old Jose Munoz of Dalhart.

Neither the driver nor the two passengers were wearing their seat belts.
The DPS report says the unsecured occupants were ejected from the vehicle. The vehicle came to a rest in the field facing south on its wheels.
