The United Way of Moore County had a record-breaking year, as the community came together and raised $600,568 for 2019/2020 Campaign, according to Jackie Wiswell, who serves as executive director.
“The amount surpassed this year’s goal of $530,000, and tops last year’s announced amount of $554,956,” she said.
“To speak from the heart, this community is absolutely amazing,” said Wiswell. “There is no place like Moore County, and we are blessed to be among businesses and friends that care so much about our mission. This year has been a remarkable year as my first year as United Way of Moore County’s Executive Director”
This year’s Campaign Drive Chair, Carl Watson of Dumas/Moore County Chamber of Commerce, said “It has been an honor and a privilege to serve as the 2019/2020 Moore County United Way Campaign Chair. This organization is so important to the many non-profit groups in Moore County that work so hard to help those less fortunate in our communities and in need of a hand up in life. Without the United Way, many of these organizations would not be able raise the funds to carry on their important work. I want to thank all the companies and individuals who have been so generous and made this the most productive year in the history of the Moore County United Way!”
