Tyler Vaughn Catherall, 17, of Dumas, passed away Saturday, July 6, 2019. Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 10, at First Baptist Church in Dumas with Zane Powers officiating. Interment will follow in Dumas Cemetery. A family visitation will be Tuesday, July 9, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Arrangements are entrusted to Morrison Funeral Directors.
Tyler was born August 24, 2001 and lived with his grandparents, Paul and Mary Catherall. He was a recent graduate of North Plains Opportunity Center in Dumas and was a recipient of a liver transplant in 2010. Tyler was a member of First Baptist Church in Dumas.
He is preceded in death by his great-grandparents: Odell and Colene McAvoy and his grandfather: Fred Martin Catherall, Sr.
Tyler is survived by his grandparents: Paul and Mary Catherall of the home; great-grandmother: Pauline Parker also of the home; father: Damon Catherall of Dumas; mother: Kelly Hutcherson of Amarillo; sisters: Brittany Finley of Ft. Worth, Alyssa Simmons of Amarillo, and Mya Catherall of Canyon; uncle: Anthony Catherall and wife Ashley of Dalhart; paternal grandmother; Malinda Chance of Camden, AR: maternal grandparents: Jack Hutcherson of Dumas and Teresa Finley and husband Rex of Ft. Worth; and numerous other friends and relatives.
