In a contest Tuesday night, Dec. 4, in Friona, the Sunray Bobcats took on Friona and won 58-35.
The Bobcats came out scoring with 29 points in the first half. They put up another 29 points in the second half to defeat Friona.
Henry Wyatt was the leading scorer with 15 points. He made all those points in the second half with six baskets and 3-of-6 free throws. Jaden Zerby contributed three baskets and two free throws in the first half, with two more baskets and a free throw in the second half for a combined 13 points.
Behind Wyatt and Zerby was Reid Rousser with 12 points. He shot four and made four free throws.
Putting up seven points was Trae Underwood off of three baskets and a free throw, all within the second half.
Bryan Mendoza added to the first half total with six points of his own. Also scoring was Hunter Stone and Brett Underwood, each with two points, and Michael Peeples added a free throw in the first half.
As a team, the Bobcats shot 23 baskets and made 55 percent of free throws.
The JV Bobcats also played Tuesday night and grabbed a victory as well 48-16.
The Bobcats next travel to Happy with the girls' squads Tuesday, Dec. 11, to face off beginning at 5 p.m.
