A recent road game for the Sunray Bobcats and Ladycats proved to be a tough outing for both teams. On Tuesday, Feb. 4, Sunray traveled to Stratford to take on the Elks and Lady Elks.
The girls struggled to put points on the board in both halves and trailed by 23 going into the final period. The Ladycats couldn't get it done and fell 57-31, dropping to 12-15 on the year. Here is the scoring breakdown from each period.

The Ladycats had their final home contest with Sanford-Fritch on Friday. They go on the road to finish up the regular season at Boys Ranch on Tuesday, Feb. 11. The postseason will begin on Feb. 17-18 with bi-district action.
For the Bobcats on Tuesday, they didn't fare well on the road against Stratford either as they suffered a setback of 54-15. The Cats struggled on both sides of the ball as the Elks jumped to a 35-10 halftime lead. They put up 19 more in the second half to shut down Sunray and claim the victory.

Both boys and girls for West Texas and Gruver were set to play on Wednesday night. The Bobcats look to finish out the season strong in their upcoming final games. They hosted Sanford-Fritch on Friday. Results of that game will appear in an upcoming edition.
They will be on the road against Boys Ranch on Tuesday. They return home on Friday, Feb. 14, for a matchup with Gruver, and then finish off the regular season on Feb. 18 with West Texas.
The bi-district round for boys playoff basketball is set for Feb. 24-25.
