The Dumas Demonettes edged out Perryton last week 26-21 in the first district matchup of the season. They continued those winning ways on the road at Borger on Tuesday by controlling the court and defeating the Lady Bulldogs 63-29. Dumas shot 39 percent from the floor to Borger's 29 percent.

Three Demonettes went into double digits, with Danny Duran leading the way with 17 points. Sheda Madit and Macie Medrano followed with 16 and 15 points, respectively.

Earlier on Tuesday, the freshmen and JV girls won their games, getting another sweep of a district opponent.

The Demonettes will have their next district contest on Friday, Jan. 17, at home as they host Dalhart. The varsity Demons will open district play on Friday with Dalhart, which will follow the varsity girls' contest. Games will begin at 4:30 p.m. as the freshman and JV squads will be playing Friday as well.
