When asked what this win says about the team, coach Brittani James said, “It says we have definitely mindset and that we are going to win no matter what. These girls came and left it all on the court and our hard work matters and it means something and they didn’t want that to go to someone else.”
This is the first time since 2012 since the Demonettes advanced to the Regional Semifinals. When asked what that means to her and they team, James became a little emotional and said, “ It’s huge. It’s the first time for me as a head coach to be there. These seniors have really led this team as far as their leadership and their drive to win. I can’t speak about this team enough, and we wouldn’t be where we are without them.”
The Demonettes improve their record to 34-12; its best record since 2012.
Dumas will play Argyle Friday, Nov. 12 at Weatherford High School. The winner will advance to Saturday's regional championship match.
