The Dumas Demonettes are wrapping up non-district play this week as they hosted the Lady Dons of Palo Duro High School and got a clean sweep at all levels. The Demonettes are in action this weekend (Saturday, Sept. 19) as they take on Amarillo High at Dumas High School. The varsity Demonettes are currently 10-4 after the win over Palo Duro.

The varsity squad took the match in three sets, going 25-14, 25-9, 25-17.

In the game, Brenley Rodriguez had an incredible 14 kills, and she had three blocks at the net. Abree Elsheimer and Brooklyn Sianez each had five kills, while Elsheimer scored three aces from the service line.

Sheda Madit had 3.5 blocks at the net for the Demonettes. Halie Coon came in with 15 assists and 10 digs.

Karyme Castillo recorded 10 assists, while Jazzy Ortiz contributed 11 digs in the contest.

The JV girls handled the Lady Dons by going 25-6, 25-13. The freshmen started things off with 2-0 win Tuesday night as they went 25-10, 25-14 in their match.

The Demonettes begin district play at Pampa on Tuesday, Sept. 22, beginning at 5 p.m.
