Out of 94 entries for varsity girls at the cross-country meet Saturday, Sept. 7, the varsity Ladycats placed fifth overall, with one receiving a medal.

Katelyn Hernandez came in with a time of 14.45 and received a medal for the Ladycats. 

Ellas Strickland had a time of 14.47, Kali Flores had a time of 14.48, Faith Castillo came in at 15.47 and Hope Castillo had a a time of 15.48. Rounding out the varsity runners were Yari Villarreal, 15.49; Vanessa Corbin, 17.56 and Anna Strickland, 17.16.

Five JV runners participated for the Ladycats. They were Mariela Lechuga, with a time of 16.14; Arianna Gallegos, 16.40; Makenzie Morton, 17.59; Nayeli Galaviz, 18.01 and Leah Vargas, 18.19.

The Bobcats and Ladycats are at Tascosa this weekend and then travel to Plainview on Sept. 21.
