The Moore County Marlins swim team held their annual end of the season awards presentation party on Sunday evening, Aug. 9, in McDade Park. Two Marlins were honored who graduated high school this year. They each received a $500 scholarship. The recipients, Addison Cross and Connor Crownover, were long time team members. They are pictured here with head coach, Monique Smulders.

Cross has been with the Marlins for 10 years beginning in 2009, and graduated from Dumas High School. She is enrolled at Amarillo College to pursue a career in nursing.

Connor Crownover has been a Moore County Marlin for 14 years beginning in 2006, when the team was created. He graduated from Sunray High School, and he will be attending Kansas State University for agricultural education this fall.

Both Cross and Crownover are long-time, valued members of the Moore County Marlins. They were strong swimmers, competitors and leaders, and will be missed by their teammates.
